我已听见那羞辱我，责备我的话；我的悟性叫我回答。

我聽見你侮辱我的斥責，我的理智催促我回答。

我聽了那侮辱我責難我的話，靈因着我的明達、就給了我解答。

既聞譴責、令我蒙羞、我之慧心相應、

凌辱之言、有激於懷、烏容不答。

我聞辱我責我之言、我慧心使我對答、

I hear a rebuke that dishonors me, and my understanding inspires me to reply.

What you have just said dishonors me. So I really have to reply to you.

I hear censure that insults me, and out of my understanding a spirit answers me.

I’ve had to endure your insults, but now my spirit prompts me to reply.

I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.We will not hide[ them] from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:

I will teach you by the hand of God:[ that] which[ is] with the Almighty will I not conceal.

Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath[ bringeth] the punishments of the sword, that ye may know[ there is] a judgment.

These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed[ that] ye make yourselves strange to me.

My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart[ shall be] of understanding.

Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for[ this] I make haste.

My words[ shall be of] the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.
