What he toiled for he must give back uneaten; he will not enjoy the profit from his trading.

What they worked for they must give back before they can eat it. They won’t enjoy what they have earned.

He will give back the fruit of his toil and will not swallow it down; from the profit of his trading he will get no enjoyment.

They will give back everything they worked for. Their wealth will bring them no joy.

He must return the fruit of his labor without consuming it; he doesn’t enjoy the profits from his trading.

He returns the product of his labor And cannot swallow it; As to the riches of his trading, He cannot even enjoy them.

He will restore that for which he labored, And will not swallow it down; From the proceeds of business He will get no enjoyment.

That which he labored for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down; According to the substance that he hath gotten, he shall not rejoice.

爾之諸敵、向爾張口、嗤笑切齒、曰、我儕已吞噬之、我所望之日、今已至矣、我所目睹、

禍哉爾偽善之經士與法利賽人、因爾在人前閉天國之門、爾自不入、有欲入者、爾亦不許其入、

瞽而導人者、蚋則濾之、駝則吞之、○

我在巴比倫必罰彼勒、使之以所吞者哇而出之、列邦不再趨赴之、巴比倫之城垣傾覆、

何曾因敵遇災而喜、何曾因其遭禍而踴躍、

行不義而建宮、行不公而造樓、徒用人力、不償工值者、斯人必禍、

葡萄焦枯、如有憂戚、葡萄樹盡衰殘、原文作新酒悲哀葡萄樹疲憊平昔心樂者、無不歎息、擊鼓之歡聲盡息、宴樂者之歡呼已止、鼓琴之歡聲亦息、不再謳歌飲酒、善飲者以醇醪為苦、邑毀而荒、宅第咸閉、無人得入、人因乏酒、在通衢哀號、一切歡樂、盡歸無有、國中喜樂無存、

彼所播者風、所穫者暴風、所種者不長、即長不實、即實異邦人食之、以色列國被滅、滅原文作吞今斯民在異邦、視若無用之器、

時將至、日伊邇、購者毋喜、鬻者毋憂、因災災原文作怒及其眾、

爾貪婪財利、虐待人民、施行強暴、爾目爾心專一於此、

爾曹欲吞食貧民、欲使窮者淪亡、當聽此言、

昔我所悅者、而今既多行邪惡、在我殿何為、所獻之聖胙、豈能除爾所樂作之惡乎、昔主稱爾名為油果樹、枝葉茂盛、結果嘉美、今在大諠譁中、燃火焚燬、枝條俱敗、

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒噬我、毀我、使我如空器、吞我若龍、以我珍羞充滿其腹、且驅逐我、

生吞之如示阿勒、示阿勒有譯黃泉有譯陰府有譯墳墓彼雖正直、我亦害之、彼雖正直我亦害之或作將彼全然吞滅使如已下墓之人、
