“ All right, do with him as you please,” the Lord said to Satan.“ But spare his life.”

永恆主對撒但說：『看哪，他都讓你手擺布；只是他的性命你卻要保存。』

The Lord said to Satan,“ Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”

The Lord said to Satan,“ All right. I am handing him over to you. But you must spare his life.”

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.”

“ Very well,” the LORD told Satan,“ he is in your power; only spare his life.”

So the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your power, only spare his life.”

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

And Jehovah said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thy hand; only spare his life.

“ Very well,” the Lord told Satan,“ he is in your power; only spare his life.”

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he[ is] in thine hand; but save his life.

So the LORD said to Satan,“ All right, he is in your power; only preserve his life.”

Yahweh said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand. Only spare his life.”

“ All right, you may test him,” the Lord said to Satan.“ Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the Lord’s presence.

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

“ Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat.But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”

Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life.

For Jesus had already commanded the evil spirit to come out of him. This spirit had often taken control of the man. Even when he was placed under guard and put in chains and shackles, he simply broke them and rushed out into the wilderness, completely under the demon’s power.Jesus demanded,“ What is your name?”“ Legion,” he replied, for he was filled with many demons.The demons kept begging Jesus not to send them into the bottomless pit.There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding on the hillside nearby, and the demons begged him to let them enter into the pigs. So Jesus gave them permission.Then the demons came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned.

For I locked it behind barred gates, limiting its shores.I said,‘ This far and no farther will you come. Here your proud waves must stop!’

You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waves and silenced the shouting of the nations.

When the thousand years come to an end, Satan will be let out of his prison.

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit and a heavy chain in his hand.He seized the dragon— that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan— and bound him in chains for a thousand years.
