The Lord said to Satan,“ Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”

永恆主對撒但說：『看哪，他都讓你手擺布；只是他的性命你卻要保存。』

耶和華曰、彼在爾手、惟存其生、

The Lord said to Satan,“ All right. I am handing him over to you. But you must spare his life.”

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life.”

“ All right, do with him as you please,” the Lord said to Satan.“ But spare his life.”

“ Very well,” the LORD told Satan,“ he is in your power; only spare his life.”

So the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your power, only spare his life.”

And the Lord said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.”

And Jehovah said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thy hand; only spare his life.

“ Very well,” the Lord told Satan,“ he is in your power; only spare his life.”

And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he[ is] in thine hand; but save his life.

So the LORD said to Satan,“ All right, he is in your power; only preserve his life.”

Yahweh said to Satan,“ Behold, he is in your hand. Only spare his life.”

The Lord said to Satan,“ Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

“ Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat.But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.

For Jesus had commanded the impure spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places.Jesus asked him,“ What is your name?”“ Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him.And they begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss.A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into the pigs, and he gave them permission.When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.

when I fixed limits for it and set its doors and bars in place,when I said,‘ This far you may come and no farther; here is where your proud waves halt’?

who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.

When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison

And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain.He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
