不但如此，我已把万事当作是有损的，因我以认识我主基督耶稣为至宝。我为他已经丢弃万事，看作粪土，为要赢得基督，并且得以在他里面，不是有自己因律法而得的义，而是有信基督的义，就是基于信，从上帝而来的义，使我认识基督，知道他复活的大能，并且知道和他一同受苦，效法他的死，

人若赚得全世界，赔上自己的生命，有什么益处呢？人还能拿什么换生命呢？

“所以，我告诉你们，不要为你们的生命忧虑吃什么喝什么，或为你们的身体忧虑穿什么。生命不胜于饮食吗？身体不胜于衣裳吗？

到那日，人必将造来敬拜的金偶像、银偶像抛给田鼠和蝙蝠。耶和华兴起使地大震动的时候，人就进入磐缝和岩隙里，躲避耶和华的惊吓和他威严的荣光。

只是他们中间有十个人对以实玛利说：“不要杀我们，因为我们有许多大麦、小麦、油和蜜藏在田间。”于是他住手，没有在弟兄中间杀他们。

以斯帖王后回答说：“王啊，我若在你眼前蒙恩，王若以为好，我所要的，是王把我的性命赐给我；我所求的，是求我的本族。因为我和我的本族被出卖了，要被剪除，杀戮，灭绝。我们若被卖为奴为婢，我就闭口不言；但我们的痛苦比起王的损失，算不得什么。”

我们被风浪逼得很急，第二天众人就把货物抛在海里。第三天，他们又亲手把船上的器具抛弃了。
