不但如此，我也将万事当作有损的，因我以认识我主基督耶稣为至宝。我为他已经丢弃万事，看作粪土，为要得着基督；并且得以在他里面，不是有自己因律法而得的义，乃是有信基督的义，就是因信神而来的义，使我认识基督，晓得他复活的大能，并且晓得和他一同受苦，效法他的死，

人若赚得全世界，赔上自己的生命，有什么益处呢？人还能拿什么换生命呢？

“所以我告诉你们，不要为生命忧虑吃什么，喝什么；为身体忧虑穿什么。生命不胜于饮食吗？身体不胜于衣裳吗？

到那日，人必将为拜而造的金偶像、银偶像抛给田鼠和蝙蝠。到耶和华兴起，使地大震动的时候，人好进入磐石洞中和岩石穴里，躲避耶和华的惊吓和他威严的荣光。

只是他们中间有十个人对以实玛利说：“不要杀我们，因为我们有许多大麦、小麦、油、蜜藏在田间。”于是他住了手，没有将他们杀在弟兄中间。

王后以斯帖回答说：“我若在王眼前蒙恩，王若以为美，我所愿的，是愿王将我的性命赐给我；我所求的，是求王将我的本族赐给我。因我和我的本族被卖了，要剪除杀戮灭绝我们。我们若被卖为奴为婢，我也闭口不言；但王的损失，敌人万不能补足。”

我们被风浪逼得甚急，第二天众人就把货物抛在海里。到第三天，他们又亲手把船上的器具抛弃了。
