But he said to her,“ You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?” In all this Job didn’t sin with his lips.

曰、爾出言、如愚婦也、我儕自上帝受福、不亦受禍乎、約伯於此諸事、未嘗以口干罪、○

曰、爾所言、乃頑嚚之婦也、我自上帝而獲福祉、茲之受禍、不亦宜乎。約百不以言取罪、又如此。

約百謂之曰、爾言如愚婦之言、天主賜福、我儕則受、天主降禍、我儕則不受乎、約百雖遇此、猶不以言犯罪、

He replied,“ You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.

Job replied,“ You are talking like a foolish woman. We accept good things from God. So we should also accept trouble when he sends it.” In spite of everything, Job didn’t say anything that was sinful.

But he said to her,“ You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

But Job replied,“ You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?” So in all this, Job said nothing wrong.

“ You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her.“ Should we accept only good from God and not adversity?” Throughout all this Job did not sin in what he said.

But he said to her,“ You are speaking as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we actually accept good from God but not accept adversity?” Despite all this, Job did not sin with his lips.

But he said to her,“ You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

“ You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her.“ Should we accept only good from God and not adversity?” Throughout all this Job did not sin in what he said.

But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

But he replied,“ You’re talking like one of the godless women would do! Should we receive what is good from God, and not also receive what is evil?” In all this Job did not sin by what he said.

Blessed is a person who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.

Doesn’t evil and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?Why does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yahweh.Let’s lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens.

He said,“ Naked I came out of my mother’s womb, and naked will I return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be Yahweh’s name.”In all this, Job didn’t sin, nor charge God with wrongdoing.

Take, brothers, for an example of suffering and of perseverance, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

But he turned, and said to Peter,“ Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of men.”

Jesus therefore said to Peter,“ Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”

You offspring of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.The good man out of his good treasure brings out good things, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings out evil things.I tell you that every idle word that men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Furthermore, we had the fathers of our flesh to chasten us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?For they indeed, for a few days, punished us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness.All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer;

I said,“ I will watch my ways, so that I don’t sin with my tongue. I will keep my mouth with a bridle while the wicked is before me.”

David’s heart struck him after he had counted the people. David said to Yahweh,“ I have sinned greatly in that which I have done. But now, Yahweh, put away, I beg you, the iniquity of your servant; for I have done very foolishly.”

As for me, where would I carry my shame? And as for you, you will be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you.”

For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.

To Adam he said,“ Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, and ate from the tree, about which I commanded you, saying,‘ You shall not eat of it,’ the ground is cursed for your sake. You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life.

Then David returned to bless his household. Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said,“ How glorious the king of Israel was today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of his servants’ maids, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!”David said to Michal,“ It was before Yahweh, who chose me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me prince over the people of Yahweh, over Israel. Therefore I will celebrate before Yahweh.

For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride, for the curses and lies which they utter.

David said,“ What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should be adversaries to me today? Shall any man be put to death today in Israel? For don’t I know that I am king over Israel today?”

Haven’t you made a hedge around him, and around his house, and around all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job. That man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God, and turned away from evil.There were born to him seven sons and three daughters.His possessions also were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the children of the east.

Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding.”

The foolish woman is loud, undisciplined, and knows nothing.

Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.

For all my father’s house were but dead men before my lord the king; yet you set your servant among those who ate at your own table. What right therefore have I yet that I should cry any more to the king?”

For Yahweh’s eyes run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars.”
