曰、爾出言、如愚婦也、我儕自上帝受福、不亦受禍乎、約伯於此諸事、未嘗以口干罪、○

曰、爾所言、乃頑嚚之婦也、我自上帝而獲福祉、茲之受禍、不亦宜乎。約百不以言取罪、又如此。

約百謂之曰、爾言如愚婦之言、天主賜福、我儕則受、天主降禍、我儕則不受乎、約百雖遇此、猶不以言犯罪、

He replied,“ You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.

Job replied,“ You are talking like a foolish woman. We accept good things from God. So we should also accept trouble when he sends it.” In spite of everything, Job didn’t say anything that was sinful.

But he said to her,“ You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. Shall we receive good from God, and shall we not receive evil?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

But Job replied,“ You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?” So in all this, Job said nothing wrong.

“ You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her.“ Should we accept only good from God and not adversity?” Throughout all this Job did not sin in what he said.

But he said to her,“ You are speaking as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we actually accept good from God but not accept adversity?” Despite all this, Job did not sin with his lips.

But he said to her,“ You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips.

But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

“ You speak as a foolish woman speaks,” he told her.“ Should we accept only good from God and not adversity?” Throughout all this Job did not sin in what he said.

Happy is the one who endures testing, because when he has proven to be genuine, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him.

Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that everything comes– both calamity and blessing?Why should any living person complain when punished for his sins?נ( Nun)Let us carefully examine our ways, and let us return to the LORD.Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven:

He said,“ Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return there. The LORD gives, and the LORD takes away. May the name of the LORD be blessed!”In all this Job did not sin, nor did he charge God with moral impropriety.

As an example of suffering and patience, brothers and sisters, take the prophets who spoke in the Lord’s name.Think of how we regard as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and you have seen the Lord’s purpose, that the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

But he turned and said to Peter,“ Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, because you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but on man’s.”

But Jesus said to Peter,“ Put your sword back into its sheath! Am I not to drink the cup that the Father has given me?”

Offspring of vipers! How are you able to say anything good, since you are evil? For the mouth speaks from what fills the heart.The good person brings good things out of his good treasury, and the evil person brings evil things out of his evil treasury.I tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak.For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Besides, we have experienced discipline from our earthly fathers and we respected them; shall we not submit ourselves all the more to the Father of spirits and receive life?For they disciplined us for a little while as seemed good to them, but he does so for our benefit, that we may share his holiness.Now all discipline seems painful at the time, not joyful. But later it produces the fruit of peace and righteousness for those trained by it.

Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.

I decided,“ I will watch what I say and make sure I do not sin with my tongue. I will put a muzzle over my mouth while in the presence of an evil man.”

When David went home to pronounce a blessing on his own house, Michal, Saul’s daughter, came out to meet him. She said,“ How the king of Israel has distinguished himself this day! He has exposed himself today before his servants’ slave girls the way a vulgar fool might do!”David replied to Michal,“ It was before the LORD! I was celebrating before the LORD, who chose me over your father and his entire family and appointed me as leader over the LORD’s people Israel.

They speak sinful words. So let them be trapped by their own pride and by the curses and lies they speak!

But David said,“ What do we have in common, you sons of Zeruiah? You are like my enemy today! Should anyone be put to death in Israel today? Don’t you realize that today I am king over Israel?”

Have you not made a hedge around him and his household and all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his livestock have increased in the land.

There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. Thus he was the greatest of all the people in the east.

Abandon your foolish ways so that you may live, and proceed in the way of understanding.”
