But you should be afraid when God comes to judge you. He’ll be angry. He’ll punish you with his sword. Then you will know that he is the Judge.”

For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.

Rejoice, young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

Will you speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him?Will you show partiality to him? Will you contend for God?Is it good that he should search you out? Or as one deceives a man, will you deceive him?He will surely reprove you if you secretly show partiality.Shall not his majesty make you afraid, and his dread fall on you?

Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked,so that men shall say,“ Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth.”

But Yahweh reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment.

“ Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged.For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

Is it for your piety that he reproves you, that he enters with you into judgment?

He doesn’t believe that he will return out of darkness. He is waited for by the sword.

Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God.Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment.For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the authority,for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn’t bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil.

Don’t speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against a brother and judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.Only one is the lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge another?
