But now He has exhausted me; You have laid waste all my group of loved ones.

Disgrace has broken my heart, and I am so sick. And I waited for sympathy, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.

Indeed, you have now become such, You see terrors and are afraid.Have I said,‘ Give me something,’ Or,‘ Offer a bribe for me from your wealth,’Or,‘ Save me from the hand of the enemy,’ Or,‘ Redeem me from the hand of the tyrants’?

My loved ones and my friends stand aloof from my plague; And my kinsmen stand far away.

But all this has taken place so that the Scriptures of the prophets will be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left Him and fled.

At my first defense no one supported me, but all deserted me; may it not be counted against them.
