They also killed the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”While he was still speaking, another came and said,“ The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”While he was still speaking, another came and said,“ The Chaldeans formed three units and made a raid on the camels and took them, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”While he was still speaking, another also came and said,“ Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,and behold, a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people and they died, and I alone have escaped to tell you.”

So are the paths of all who forget God; And the hope of the godless will perish,His confidence is fragile, And his trust is a spider’s web.He depends on his house, but it does not stand; He holds on to it, but it does not endure.He flourishes before the sun, And his shoots spread out over his garden.His roots wrap around a rock pile, He grasps a house of stones.If he is removed from his place, Then it will deny him, saying,‘ I never saw you.’

My days are like a lengthened shadow, And I wither away like grass.
