Prepare for slaughter of his children because of the iniquity of their fathers, that they not rise up and possess the earth, and fill the surface of the world with cities.“ I will rise up against them,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, and son and son’s son,” says Yahweh.

Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.

If your children have sinned against him, he has delivered them into the hand of their disobedience.

Woe to those who join house to house, who lay field to field, until there is no room, and you are made to dwell alone in the middle of the land!In my ears, Yahweh of Armies says:“ Surely many houses will be desolate, even great and beautiful, unoccupied.

If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring will not be satisfied with bread.Those who remain of him will be buried in death. His widows will make no lamentation.

All darkness is laid up for his treasures. An unfanned fire will devour him. It will consume that which is left in his tent.The heavens will reveal his iniquity. The earth will rise up against him.The increase of his house will depart. They will rush away in the day of his wrath.
