The homes of the wicked will burn down; burning sulfur rains on their houses.

Fire resides in his tent; burning sulfur is scattered over his dwelling.

Fire races through their tents. Burning sulfur is scattered over their homes.

In his tent dwells that which is none of his; sulfur is scattered over his habitation.

Nothing he owned remains in his tent. Burning sulfur is scattered over his home.

Nothing of his dwells in his tent; Brimstone is scattered on his home.

They dwell in his tent who are none of his; Brimstone is scattered on his dwelling.

There shall dwell in his tent that which is none of his: Brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.

Fire resides in his tent; over his residence burning sulfur is scattered.

There will dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur will be scattered on his habitation.

He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds.

They will exclaim,‘ The whole land is devastated by sulfur and salt. It is a wasteland with nothing planted and nothing growing, not even a blade of grass. It is like the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord destroyed in his intense anger.’

The streams of Edom will be filled with burning pitch, and the ground will be covered with fire.This judgment on Edom will never end; the smoke of its burning will rise forever. The land will lie deserted from generation to generation. No one will live there anymore.

They will give back everything they worked for. Their wealth will bring them no joy.For they oppressed the poor and left them destitute. They foreclosed on their homes.They were always greedy and never satisfied. Nothing remains of all the things they dreamed about.Nothing is left after they finish gorging themselves. Therefore, their prosperity will not endure.

And the Lord says,“ What sorrow awaits Jehoiakim, who builds his palace with forced labor. He builds injustice into its walls, for he makes his neighbors work for nothing. He does not pay them for their labor.

Hunger depletes their strength, and calamity waits for them to stumble.Disease eats their skin; death devours their limbs.

And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast— miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue. Both the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

“ If my land accuses me and all its furrows cry out together,or if I have stolen its crops or murdered its owners,

“ But soon their captives will taunt them. They will mock them, saying,‘ What sorrow awaits you thieves! Now you will get what you deserve! You’ve become rich by extortion, but how much longer can this go on?’Suddenly, your debtors will take action. They will turn on you and take all you have, while you stand trembling and helpless.Because you have plundered many nations, now all the survivors will plunder you. You committed murder throughout the countryside and filled the towns with violence.“ What sorrow awaits you who build big houses with money gained dishonestly! You believe your wealth will buy security, putting your family’s nest beyond the reach of danger.But by the murders you committed, you have shamed your name and forfeited your lives.The very stones in the walls cry out against you, and the beams in the ceilings echo the complaint.

And this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: I am sending this curse into the house of every thief and into the house of everyone who swears falsely using my name. And my curse will remain in that house and completely destroy it— even its timbers and stones.”

“ But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars— their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Then the Lord rained down fire and burning sulfur from the sky on Sodom and Gomorrah.
