and say to corruption,“ You are my father,” and to the maggot,“ My mother” or“ My sister,”

称坟墓为父亲，称蛆虫为母亲、姊妹，

我若对深坑说：‘你是我的父亲’，对虫说：‘你是我的母亲，我的姊妹’，

若對朽壞說：你是我的父；對蟲說：你是我的母親姊妹；

若對地府呼叫：『你是我的父親』，若對蟲呼叫：『你是我的母親、姊妹』，

若對地府呼叫：『你是我的父親』，若對蟲呼叫：『你是我的母親、姊妹』，

稱墳墓為父親，稱蛆蟲為母親、姊妹，

我若對深坑說：‘你是我的父親’，對蟲說：‘你是我的母親，我的姊妹’，

假使我對冥坑呼叫說：「你是我父親」，對蛆蟲說：「你是我母親，我姐妹」，

謂墓為父、謂蟲為母、為姊、

與朽腐為鄰、與蚯蚓同處、奚啻父母姊妹、

我若稱墓為父、稱蟲為母為姊、

if I say to corruption,‘ You are my father,’ and to the worm,‘ My mother’ or‘ My sister,’

Suppose I say to the grave,‘ You are like a father to me.’ And suppose I say to its worms,‘ You are like a mother or sister to me.’

if I say to the pit,‘ You are my father,’ and to the worm,‘ My mother,’ or‘ My sister,’

What if I call the grave my father, and the maggot my mother or my sister?

If I call to the grave,‘ You are my father’; To the maggot,‘ my mother and my sister’;

If I say to corruption,‘ You are my father,’ And to the worm,‘ You are my mother and my sister,’

If I have said to corruption, Thou art my father; To the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister;

and say to corruption: You are my father, and to the maggot: My mother or my sister,

I have said to corruption, Thou[ art] my father: to the worm,[ Thou art] my mother, and my sister.

If I cry to corruption,‘ You are my father,’ and to the worm,‘ My Mother,’ or‘ My sister,’

if I have said to corruption,‘ You are my father;’ to the worm,‘ My mother,’ and‘ My sister,’

For you will not abandon me to Sheol; you will not allow your faithful one to see decay.

The womb forgets them; worms feed on them; they are remembered no more. So injustice is broken like a tree.

so that he may live forever and not see the Pit.

As to his raising him from the dead, never to return to decay, he has spoken in this way, I will give you the holy and sure promises of David.Therefore he also says in another passage, You will not let your Holy One see decay.For David, after serving God’s purpose in his own generation, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and decayed,but the one God raised up did not decay.

because you will not abandon me in Hades or allow your holy one to see decay.You have revealed the paths of life to me; you will fill me with gladness in your presence.“ Brothers and sisters, I can confidently speak to you about the patriarch David: He is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn an oath to him to seat one of his descendants on his throne.Seeing what was to come, he spoke concerning the resurrection of the Messiah: He was not abandoned in Hades, and his flesh did not experience decay.

My skin blackens and flakes off, and my bones burn with fever.

A person wears out like something rotten, like a moth-eaten garment.

He is carried to the grave, and someone keeps watch over his tomb.The dirt on his grave is sweet to him. Everyone follows behind him, and those who go before him are without number.

So it is with the resurrection of the dead: Sown in corruption, raised in incorruption;

But they both lie in the dust, and worms cover them.

For this corruptible body must be clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body must be clothed with immortality.When this corruptible body is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place: Death has been swallowed up in victory.

Your splendor has been brought down to Sheol, along with the music of your harps. Maggots are spread out under you, and worms cover you.”

Even after my skin has been destroyed, yet I will see God in my flesh.
