If I have said to corruption, Thou art my father; To the worm, Thou art my mother, and my sister;

若对朽坏说：‘你是我的父’；对虫说：‘你是我的母亲姐妹’。

若对地府呼叫：‘你是我的父亲’，若对虫呼叫：‘你是我的母亲、姊妹’，

若对地府呼叫：‘你是我的父亲’，若对虫呼叫：‘你是我的母亲、姊妹’，

称坟墓为父亲，称蛆虫为母亲、姊妹，

我若对深坑说：‘你是我的父亲’，对虫说：‘你是我的母亲，我的姊妹’，

若對朽壞說：你是我的父；對蟲說：你是我的母親姊妹；

若對地府呼叫：『你是我的父親』，若對蟲呼叫：『你是我的母親、姊妹』，

若對地府呼叫：『你是我的父親』，若對蟲呼叫：『你是我的母親、姊妹』，

稱墳墓為父親，稱蛆蟲為母親、姊妹，

我若對深坑說：‘你是我的父親’，對蟲說：‘你是我的母親，我的姊妹’，

假使我對冥坑呼叫說：「你是我父親」，對蛆蟲說：「你是我母親，我姐妹」，

謂墓為父、謂蟲為母、為姊、

與朽腐為鄰、與蚯蚓同處、奚啻父母姊妹、

我若稱墓為父、稱蟲為母為姊、

if I say to corruption,‘ You are my father,’ and to the worm,‘ My mother’ or‘ My sister,’

Suppose I say to the grave,‘ You are like a father to me.’ And suppose I say to its worms,‘ You are like a mother or sister to me.’

if I say to the pit,‘ You are my father,’ and to the worm,‘ My mother,’ or‘ My sister,’

What if I call the grave my father, and the maggot my mother or my sister?

and say to corruption,“ You are my father,” and to the maggot,“ My mother” or“ My sister,”

If I call to the grave,‘ You are my father’; To the maggot,‘ my mother and my sister’;

If I say to corruption,‘ You are my father,’ And to the worm,‘ You are my mother and my sister,’

and say to corruption: You are my father, and to the maggot: My mother or my sister,

I have said to corruption, Thou[ art] my father: to the worm,[ Thou art] my mother, and my sister.

If I cry to corruption,‘ You are my father,’ and to the worm,‘ My Mother,’ or‘ My sister,’

if I have said to corruption,‘ You are my father;’ to the worm,‘ My mother,’ and‘ My sister,’

For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.

The womb shall forget him; The worm shall feed sweetly on him; He shall be no more remembered; And unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.

That he should still live alway, That he should not see corruption.

And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he hath spoken on this wise, I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.Because he saith also in another psalm, Thou wilt not give thy Holy One to see corruption.For David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:but he whom God raised up saw no corruption.

Because thou wilt not leave my soul unto Hades, Neither wilt thou give thy Holy One to see corruption.Thou madest known unto me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of gladness with thy countenance.Brethren, I may say unto you freely of the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day.Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins he would set one upon his throne;he foreseeing this spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he left unto Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption.

My skin is black, and falleth from me, And my bones are burned with heat.

Though I am like a rotten thing that consumeth, Like a garment that is moth- eaten.

Yet shall he be borne to the grave, And men shall keep watch over the tomb.The clods of the valley shall be sweet unto him, And all men shall draw after him, As there were innumerable before him.

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

They lie down alike in the dust, And the worm covereth them.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Thy pomp is brought down to Sheol, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and worms cover thee.

And after my skin, even this body, is destroyed, Then without my flesh shall I see God;
