My days are past. My plans are broken off, as are the thoughts of my heart.

My days have passed, my plans are shattered. Yet the desires of my heart

My life is almost over. My plans are destroyed. Yet the desires of my heart

My days are past; my plans are broken off, the desires of my heart.

My days are over. My hopes have disappeared. My heart’s desires are broken.

Come now, you who say,“ Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit.”Whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.For you ought to say,“ If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that.”

“ Now my days are swifter than a runner. They flee away. They see no good.They have passed away as the swift ships, as the eagle that swoops on the prey.

In this confidence, I was determined to come first to you, that you might have a second benefit,and by you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and to be sent forward by you on my journey to Judea.When I therefore was thus determined, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the“ Yes, yes” and the“ No, no?”

Take counsel together, and it will be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it will not stand, for God is with us.”

There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going.

Who is he who says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord doesn’t command it?

Now I don’t desire to have you unaware, brothers, that I often planned to come to you, and was hindered so far, that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the rest of the Gentiles.
