Surely, God, you have worn me out; you have devastated my entire household.

God has worn me out completely. He has destroyed my whole family.

Surely now God has worn me out; he has made desolate all my company.

“ O God, you have ground me down and devastated my family.

Surely he has now exhausted me. You have devastated my entire family.

But now He has exhausted me; You have laid waste all my group of loved ones.

乃我既遭患害於累月、復遇顛連於竟夜。

示巴人猝至、虜之盡、殺爾僕、惟我遁逃以告。言時又一人至曰、天降大火、燬群羊、僕從、惟我遁逃以告。言時又一人至曰、迦勒底人、三軍驟至、取駝殺僕、惟我遁逃以告。言時又一人至曰、爾子女宴於兄室、大風自野至、撼室四隅、少者被壓而死、惟我遁逃以告。

爾小子、耶和華責爾勿輕視、主譴爾勿喪膽、蓋耶和華責其所愛、若父之慈其子。

我必撲爾、俾爾傷殘、不可醫痊、邑民有罪、必致荒蕪、

在彼爭競者息、困憊者安。

我困憊兮欷歔、終夜兮流涕、幃榻兮沾濡、仇敵孔多兮、憂心鬱紆、我日衰老兮、面目槁枯。

受膏者曰、主耶和華助予、使我崇朝儆醒傾耳諦聽若弟子之受教、如是則能善為說辭、慰藉困苦之人。

已無樂生之心、不作永存之想、畢生遘難、毋寧舍子為幸。

我不樂生、怨懟無已時、中心殷憂、必暢所欲言、
