多言多语难免有过；节制嘴唇是有智慧。

“灰心的人，他的朋友当以慈爱待他，因为他将离弃敬畏全能者的心。

所以约伯开口说虚妄的话，多多发表无知识的言语。”

愚昧人多有话语。人不知将来会发生什么事，他身后的事谁能告诉他呢？

从那里经过的人讥笑他，摇着头，说：“你这拆毁殿、三日又建造起来的，救救你自己吧！如果你是上帝的儿子，就从十字架上下来呀！”

这素来欢乐、安然居住的城，心里说：“惟有我，除我以外再没有别的”，现在竟然荒凉，成为野兽躺卧之处！凡经过的人都必摇着手嗤笑它。

“惟愿我的烦恼被秤一秤，我一切的灾害放在天平里，现今都比海沙更重，所以我说话急躁。因全能者的箭射中了我，我的灵喝尽其毒；上帝的惊吓摆阵攻击我。野驴有草岂会叫唤？牛有饲料岂会吼叫？

“这许多的话岂不该回答吗？多嘴多舌的人岂可成为义呢？

要与喜乐的人同乐；要与哀哭的人同哭。

假如一个肢体受苦，所有的肢体就一同受苦；假如一个肢体得光荣，所有的肢体就一同快乐。

你使我们在列国中成了笑柄，在万民中使人摇头。
