愿人得与神辩白，如同人与朋友辩白一样；

愿人可与上帝理论，如同人与朋友一样；

愿人可与神理论，如同人与朋友一样；

但愿人与上帝之间有仲裁者，如同人与人之间。

但愿人可以为人与神分辩，正如世人为朋友辩白一样。

願人得與神辯白，如同人與朋友辯白一樣；

願人可與上帝理論，如同人與朋友一樣；

願人可與神理論，如同人與朋友一樣；

但願人與上帝之間有仲裁者，如同人與人之間。

但願人得以同上帝辯訴，就如同人跟朋友訴說一樣。

願上帝為人辨冤於其前、並在人之鄰里中、

願得在上帝前、明辨其冤、如與同儕言者然、

願世人得與天主辯論、如人與人辯論然、

on behalf of a man he pleads with God as one pleads for a friend.

He makes his appeal to God to help me as a person pleads for a friend.

that he would argue the case of a man with God, as a son of man does with his neighbor.

I need someone to mediate between God and me, as a person mediates between friends.

I wish that someone might argue for a man with God just as anyone would for a friend.

That one might plead for a man with God As a son of man with his neighbor!

Oh, that one might plead for a man with God, As a man pleads for his neighbor!

That he would maintain the right of a man with God, And of a son of man with his neighbor!

I wish that someone might arbitrate between a man and God just as a man pleads for his friend.

禍哉，那與造他的主爭論的！他不過是地上瓦片中的一塊瓦片。泥土豈可對摶弄它的說：你做甚麼呢？所做的物豈可說：你沒有手呢？ (cunpt)

你這個人哪，你是誰，竟敢向神強嘴呢？受造之物豈能對造他的說：「你為甚麼這樣造我呢？」 (cunpt)

惟願我能知道在哪裏可以尋見神，能到他的臺前，我就在他面前將我的案件陳明，滿口辯白。我必知道他回答我的言語，明白他向我所說的話。他豈用大能與我爭辯嗎？必不這樣！他必理會我。在他那裏正直人可以與他辯論；這樣，我必永遠脫離那審判我的。 (cunpt)
