不信上帝之辈必不生育，受贿者的帐篷必被火烧。

因为不敬虔的人必不能生育，火必吞灭收受贿赂者的帐幕。

原來不敬虔之輩必無生育；受賄賂之人的帳棚必被火燒。

因為不敬虔的人必不能生育，火必吞滅收受賄賂者的帳幕。

因為不拜上帝之輩必不能孕育，賄賂的住宅、火必燒滅。

不虔之輩、必無果實、貪賄之幕、必被焚燬、

偽善之人、家必蕭條、貪賄之徒、室必焚燬。

偽善或作作惡之輩、必零落無後、貪賄者之室、必被火焚、

For the company of the godless will be barren, and fire will consume the tents of those who love bribes.

People who are ungodly won’t have any children. Fire will burn up the tents of people who accept money from those who want special favors.

For the company of the godless is barren, and fire consumes the tents of bribery.

For the godless are barren. Their homes, enriched through bribery, will burn.

For the company of the godless will have no children, and fire will consume the tents of those who offer bribes.

For the company of the godless is barren, And fire consumes the tents of the corrupt.

For the company of hypocrites will be barren, And fire will consume the tents of bribery.

For the company of the godless will have no children, and fire will consume the tents of those who offer bribes.

For the congregation of hypocrites[ shall be] desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.

For the company of the godless is barren, and fire consumes the tents of those who accept bribes.

So are the paths of all that forget God; And the hope of the godless man shall perish:

And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted justice.

Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

Here I am: witness against me before Jehovah, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I taken a ransom to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.

Forasmuch therefore as ye trample upon the poor, and take exactions from him of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink the wine thereof.For I know how manifold are your transgressions, and how mighty are your sins— ye that afflict the just, that take a bribe, and that turn aside the needy in the gate from their right.

The godly man is perished out of the earth, and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling hath seized the godless ones: Who among us can dwell with the devouring fire? who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from taking a bribe, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from looking upon evil:

Is not thy wickedness great? Neither is there any end to thine iniquities.For thou hast taken pledges of thy brother for nought, And stripped the naked of their clothing.Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, And thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; And the honorable man, he dwelt in it.Thou hast sent widows away empty, And the arms of the fatherless have been broken.

For what is the hope of the godless, though he get him gain, When God taketh away his soul?

But they that are godless in heart lay up anger: They cry not for help when he bindeth them.

Because I delivered the poor that cried, The fatherless also, that had none to help him.The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me; And I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: My justice was as a robe and a diadem.I was eyes to the blind, And feet was I to the lame.I was a father to the needy: And the cause of him that I knew not I searched out.And I brake the jaws of the unrighteous, And plucked the prey out of his teeth.

They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; And the tent of the wicked shall be no more.

The tents of robbers prosper, And they that provoke God are secure; Into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.

and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

If iniquity be in thy hand, put it far away, And let not unrighteousness dwell in thy tents.
