If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off! It is better for you to enter into life crippled than to have two hands and go into hell, to the unquenchable fire.

For the burial place is already prepared; it has been made deep and wide for the king. The firewood is piled high on it. The LORD’s breath, like a stream flowing with brimstone, will ignite it.

wild sea waves, spewing out the foam of their shame; wayward stars for whom the utter depths of eternal darkness have been reserved.

He will treat the poor fairly, and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and order the wicked to be executed.

No! It is thrown in the fire for fuel; when the fire has burned up both ends of it and it is charred in the middle, will it be useful for anything?Indeed! These men are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm, for whom the utter depths of darkness have been reserved.

From his mouth extends a sharp sword, so that with it he can strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod, and he stomps the winepress of the furious wrath of God, the All- Powerful.

“ Yes, the lamp of the wicked is extinguished; his flame of fire does not shine.The light in his tent grows dark; his lamp above him is extinguished.

‘ Surely our enemies are destroyed, and fire consumes their wealth.’

Then the king said to his attendants,‘ Tie him up hand and foot and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth!’

They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope about in the noontime as if it were night.

He is driven from light into darkness and is banished from the world.
