『智慧人哪可用虛空如風的知識來回答，用熱東風去充滿自己的肚子呢？

智者豈可以虛識為對、以東風充懷乎、

寧有吸凄風、吐支辭、而得為哲人乎。

智慧者豈以虛辭而答、豈使東風盈其胸懷、或作豈以虛辭而答乎使東風盈於懷豈得稱智慧人乎

Do you intend to rebuke my words, And the speeches of a desperate one, which are as wind?

“ Ephraim feeds on the wind, And pursues the east wind; He daily increases lies and desolation. Also they make a covenant with the Assyrians, And oil is carried to Egypt.

“ How long will you speak these things, And the words of your mouth be like a strong wind?

“ Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be vindicated?Should your empty talk make men hold their peace? And when you mock, should no one rebuke you?

What you know, I also know; I am not inferior to you.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
