what the wise have declared, hiding nothing received from their ancestors

I’ll tell you what those who are wise have said. They don’t hide anything they’ve received from their people of long ago.

( what wise men have told, without hiding it from their fathers,

And it is confirmed by the reports of wise men who have heard the same thing from their fathers—

what the wise have declared and not concealed, that came from their ancestors,

What wise people have told, And have not concealed from their fathers,

What wise men have told, Not hiding anything received from their fathers,

( Which wise men have told From their fathers, and have not hid it;

what was declared by wise men and was not suppressed by their ancestors,

Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid[ it]:

what wise men declare, hiding nothing, from the tradition of their ancestors,

( which wise men have told by their fathers, and have not hidden it;

“ Ask the former generation and find out what their ancestors learned, (niv)

things we have heard and known, things our ancestors have told us.We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children,so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. (niv)

Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come. (niv)

The living, the living— they praise you, as I am doing today; parents tell their children about your faithfulness. (niv)

The gray-haired and the aged are on our side, men even older than your father. (niv)
