That you turn your spirit against God, And let such words go out of your mouth?

使你的灵反对神，也任你的口发这言语？

以致你的灵反对上帝，你的口说出这样的言语呢？

以致你的灵反对神，你的口说出这样的言语呢？

以致你向上帝发怒，口出恶言？

以致你的心灵转过来抗拒神，从你的口中竟发出这样的话？

使你的靈反對神，也任你的口發這言語？

以致你的靈反對上帝，你的口說出這樣的言語呢？

以致你的靈反對神，你的口說出這樣的言語呢？

以致你向上帝發怒，口出惡言？

以致你的心靈轉過來抗拒神，從你的口中竟發出這樣的話？

以致你的氣針對着上帝，而讓你的口發出這樣的話語呢？

致爾專心逆上帝、任口出言詞、

心逆上帝、口述妄言。

爾竟向天主發怒、口出妄言、

so that you vent your rage against God and pour out such words from your mouth?

Why do you get so angry with God? Why do words like those pour out of your mouth?

that you turn your spirit against God and bring such words out of your mouth?

that you turn against God and say all these evil things?

as you turn your anger against God and allow such words to leave your mouth?

That you can turn your spirit against God And produce such words from your mouth?

That against God thou turnest thy spirit, And lettest words go out of thy mouth?

as you turn your anger against God and allow such words to leave your mouth?

when you turn your rage against God and allow such words to escape from your mouth?

For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body.Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

For he stretches out his hand against God, And acts defiantly against the Almighty,Running stubbornly against Him With his strong, embossed shield.“ Though he has covered his face with his fatness, And made his waist heavy with fat,

God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered?

Does it seem good to You that You should oppress, That You should despise the work of Your hands, And smile on the counsel of the wicked?

Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

The tents of robbers prosper, And those who provoke God are secure— In what God provides by His hand.

“ Your words have been harsh against Me,” Says the Lord,“ Yet you say,‘ What have we spoken against You?’

If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.
