以致你向上帝发怒，口出恶言？

以致你的心灵转过来抗拒神，从你的口中竟发出这样的话？

使你的靈反對神，也任你的口發這言語？

以致你的靈反對上帝，你的口說出這樣的言語呢？

以致你的靈反對神，你的口說出這樣的言語呢？

以致你向上帝發怒，口出惡言？

以致你的心靈轉過來抗拒神，從你的口中竟發出這樣的話？

以致你的氣針對着上帝，而讓你的口發出這樣的話語呢？

致爾專心逆上帝、任口出言詞、

心逆上帝、口述妄言。

爾竟向天主發怒、口出妄言、

so that you vent your rage against God and pour out such words from your mouth?

Why do you get so angry with God? Why do words like those pour out of your mouth?

that you turn against God and say all these evil things?

as you turn your anger against God and allow such words to leave your mouth?

That you can turn your spirit against God And produce such words from your mouth?

That you turn your spirit against God, And let such words go out of your mouth?

That against God thou turnest thy spirit, And lettest words go out of thy mouth?

as you turn your anger against God and allow such words to leave your mouth?

That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest[ such] words go out of thy mouth?

when you turn your rage against God and allow such words to escape from your mouth?

That you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?

For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well.Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.

He is wise in heart and mighty in strength— who has hardened himself against him, and succeeded?—

Does it seem good to you to oppress, to despise the work of your hands and favor the designs of the wicked?

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.

For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

The tents of robbers are at peace, and those who provoke God are secure, who bring their god in their hand.

“ Your words have been hard against me, says the Lord. But you say,‘ How have we spoken against you?’

If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless.
