That against God thou turnest thy spirit, And lettest words go out of thy mouth?

以致你向上帝发怒，口出恶言？

以致你的心灵转过来抗拒神，从你的口中竟发出这样的话？

使你的靈反對神，也任你的口發這言語？

以致你的靈反對上帝，你的口說出這樣的言語呢？

以致你的靈反對神，你的口說出這樣的言語呢？

以致你向上帝發怒，口出惡言？

以致你的心靈轉過來抗拒神，從你的口中竟發出這樣的話？

以致你的氣針對着上帝，而讓你的口發出這樣的話語呢？

致爾專心逆上帝、任口出言詞、

心逆上帝、口述妄言。

爾竟向天主發怒、口出妄言、

so that you vent your rage against God and pour out such words from your mouth?

Why do you get so angry with God? Why do words like those pour out of your mouth?

that you turn your spirit against God and bring such words out of your mouth?

that you turn against God and say all these evil things?

as you turn your anger against God and allow such words to leave your mouth?

That you can turn your spirit against God And produce such words from your mouth?

That you turn your spirit against God, And let such words go out of your mouth?

as you turn your anger against God and allow such words to leave your mouth?

when you turn your rage against God and allow such words to escape from your mouth?

For in many things we all stumble. If any stumbleth not in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.Now if we put the horses’ bridles into their mouths that they may obey us, we turn about their whole body also.Behold, the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, are yet turned about by a very small rudder, whither the impulse of the steersman willeth.So the tongue also is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how much wood is kindled by how small a fire!And the tongue is a fire: the world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the wheel of nature, and is set on fire by hell.

Because he hath stretched out his hand against God, And behaveth himself proudly against the Almighty;He runneth upon him with a stiff neck, With the thick bosses of his bucklers;Because he hath covered his face with his fatness, And gathered fat upon his loins;

He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: Who hath hardened himself against him, and prospered?—

Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, That thou shouldest despise the work of thy hands, And shine upon the counsel of the wicked?

Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile.

because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be:and they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

The tents of robbers prosper, And they that provoke God are secure; Into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.

Your words have been stout against me, saith Jehovah. Yet ye say, What have we spoken against thee?

If any man thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his heart, this man’s religion is vain.
