爾為上帝出妄語、言詭詞乎、

爾既明上帝降罰之故、代為剖析、豈可妄辭、豈可譫語、豈可偏視。

爾為天主出妄言乎、為天主出誕語乎、

Will you say evil things in order to help God? Will you tell lies for him?

Will you speak falsely for God and speak deceitfully for him?

“ Are you defending God with lies? Do you make your dishonest arguments for his sake?

Would you testify unjustly on God’s behalf or speak deceitfully for him?

Will you speak what is unjust for God, And speak what is deceitful for Him?

Will you speak wickedly for God, And talk deceitfully for Him?

Will ye speak unrighteously for God, And talk deceitfully for him?

Would you testify unjustly on God’s behalf or speak deceitfully for Him?

Will you speak wickedly on God’s behalf? Will you speak deceitfully for him?

Will you speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him?

Be assured that my words are not false; one who has perfect knowledge is with you.

Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

But if our unrighteousness brings out God’s righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us?( I am using a human argument.)Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world?Someone might argue,“ If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?”Why not say— as some slanderously claim that we say—“ Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is just!

“ Consider now: Who, being innocent, has ever perished? Where were the upright ever destroyed?

my lips will not say anything wicked, and my tongue will not utter lies.

They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God.

If anyone denounces their friends for reward, the eyes of their children will fail.

“ Are all these words to go unanswered? Is this talker to be vindicated?Will your idle talk reduce others to silence? Will no one rebuke you when you mock?You say to God,‘ My beliefs are flawless and I am pure in your sight.’

I will show no partiality, nor will I flatter anyone;for if I were skilled in flattery, my Maker would soon take me away.
