As for me, I would speak directly to the Almighty. I want to argue my case with God himself.

我真要对全能者说话；我愿与神理论。

But I desire to speak to the Almighty and to argue my case with God.

In fact, I long to speak to the Mighty One. I want to argue my case with God.

But I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to argue my case with God.

Yet I prefer to speak to the Almighty and argue my case before God.

“ But I would speak to the Almighty, And I desire to argue with God.

But I would speak to the Almighty, And I desire to reason with God.

Surely I would speak to the Almighty, And I desire to reason with God.

Yet I prefer to speak to the Almighty and argue my case before God.

Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.

But I wish to speak to the Almighty, and I desire to argue my case with God.

“ Surely I would speak to the Almighty. I desire to reason with God.

“ Present the case for your idols,” says the Lord.“ Let them show what they can do,” says the King of Israel.

Now summon me, and I will answer! Or let me speak to you, and you reply.

If someone wanted to take God to court, would it be possible to answer him even once in a thousand times?

“ Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord.“ Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.If you will only obey me, you will have plenty to eat.But if you turn away and refuse to listen, you will be devoured by the sword of your enemies. I, the Lord, have spoken!”

“ If only someone would listen to me! Look, I will sign my name to my defense. Let the Almighty answer me. Let my accuser write out the charges against me.

If only I knew where to find God, I would go to his court.I would lay out my case and present my arguments.Then I would listen to his reply and understand what he says to me.Would he use his great power to argue with me? No, he would give me a fair hearing.Honest people can reason with him, so I would be forever acquitted by my judge.

And now, O mountains, listen to the Lord’s complaint! He has a case against his people. He will bring charges against Israel.

“ So who am I, that I should try to answer God or even reason with him?Even if I were right, I would have no defense. I could only plead for mercy.

Lord, you always give me justice when I bring a case before you. So let me bring you this complaint: Why are the wicked so prosperous? Why are evil people so happy?You have planted them, and they have taken root and prospered. Your name is on their lips, but you are far from their hearts.

If only God would speak; if only he would tell you what he thinks!

The mediator could make God stop beating me, and I would no longer live in terror of his punishment.Then I could speak to him without fear, but I cannot do that in my own strength.

God might kill me, but I have no other hope. I am going to argue my case with him.
