but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.

When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees.Then the Lord God called to the man,“ Where are you?”He replied,“ I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”

The mediator could make God stop beating me, and I would no longer live in terror of his punishment.Then I could speak to him without fear, but I cannot do that in my own strength.
