但惡人的眼目必要失明。他們無路可逃；他們的指望就是氣絕。

維彼惡人、其目必盲、逋逃無藪、彼之失望、與氣之垂盡無異也。

維彼惡人、其目必盲、無處逃避、彼之所望、必泯滅如氣、

But the eyes of the wicked will fail, and escape will elude them; their hope will become a dying gasp.”

But sinful people won’t find what they are looking for. They won’t be able to escape. All they can hope for is to die.”

But the eyes of the wicked will fail; all way of escape will be lost to them, and their hope is to breathe their last.”

在那些國中，你必不得安逸，也不得落腳之地；耶和華卻使你在那裏心中跳動，眼目失明，精神消耗。

控告他的朋友、以朋友為可搶奪的，連他兒女的眼睛也要失明。

我若不容貧寒人得其所願，或叫寡婦眼中失望，

咒罵父母的，他的燈必滅，變為漆黑的黑暗。

凡忘記神的人，景況也是這樣；不虔敬人的指望要滅沒。他所仰賴的必折斷；他所倚靠的是蜘蛛網。

景況好像人躲避獅子又遇見熊，或是進房屋以手靠牆，就被蛇咬。耶和華的日子不是黑暗沒有光明嗎？不是幽暗毫無光輝嗎？

我們仰望人來幫助，以致眼目失明，還是枉然；我們所盼望的，竟盼望一個不能救人的國！

神要向他射箭，並不留情；他恨不得逃脫神的手。

我們若忽略這麼大的救恩，怎能逃罪呢？這救恩起先是主親自講的，後來是聽見的人給我們證實了。

他在陰間受痛苦，舉目遠遠地望見亞伯拉罕，又望見拉撒路在他懷裏，就喊着說：『我祖亞伯拉罕哪，可憐我吧！打發拉撒路來，用指頭尖蘸點水，涼涼我的舌頭；因為我在這火焰裏，極其痛苦。』亞伯拉罕說：『兒啊，你該回想你生前享過福，拉撒路也受過苦；如今他在這裏得安慰，你倒受痛苦。不但這樣，並且在你我之間，有深淵限定，以致人要從這邊過到你們那邊是不能的；要從那邊過到我們這邊也是不能的。』

不敬虔的人雖然得利，神奪取其命的時候還有甚麼指望呢？

快跑的不能逃脫；有力的不能用力；剛勇的也不能自救。

我看見主站在祭壇旁邊；他說：你要擊打柱頂，使門檻震動，打碎柱頂，落在眾人頭上；所剩下的人，我必用刀殺戮，無一人能逃避，無一人能逃脫。他們雖然挖透陰間，我的手必取出他們來；雖然爬上天去，我必拿下他們來；雖然藏在迦密山頂，我必搜尋，捉出他們來；雖然從我眼前藏在海底，我必命蛇咬他們；

沒有黑暗、陰翳能給作孽的藏身。

惡人所怕的，必臨到他；義人所願的，必蒙應允。

我因呼求困乏，喉嚨發乾；我因等候神，眼睛失明。

我待你們就要這樣：我必命定驚惶，叫眼目乾癟、精神消耗的癆病熱病轄制你們。你們也要白白地撒種，因為仇敵要吃你們所種的。

他要從所倚靠的帳棚被拔出來，帶到驚嚇的王那裏。
