空虚的人却毫无知识；人生在世好像野驴的驹子。

空虚的人若获得知识，野驴生下的驹子也成了人。

空虚的人若获得知识，野驴生下的驹子也成了人。

愚蠢人若能变得聪明，野驴驹也可生成人样。

虚妄的人悟出慧心，就像野驴生子为人。

世人空空無知、生而等於野驢之子、

斯世之人、冥頑不靈、空空如也、自其誕生、已若野驢之子。

世人空空無知、自其誕生、已如野驢之子、或作人雖空虛生如野驢之子亦當省悟

But the witless can no more become wise than a wild donkey’s colt can be born human.

A wild donkey’s colt can’t be born a human being. And it’s just as impossible that a person without sense can become wise.

An empty headed person won’t become wise any more than a wild donkey can bear a human child.

But a stupid person will gain understanding as soon as a wild donkey is born a human!

An idiot will become intelligent When a wild donkey is born a human.

For an empty-headed man will be wise, When a wild donkey’s colt is born a man.

But vain man is void of understanding, Yea, man is born as a wild ass’s colt.

But a stupid man will gain understanding as soon as a wild donkey is born a man!

For vain man would be wise, though man be born[ like] a wild ass’s colt.

But an empty man will become wise, when a wild donkey’s colt is born a human being.

An empty- headed man becomes wise when a man is born as a wild donkey’s colt.

“ Who has let the wild donkey go free? Who has loosed the bonds of the swift donkey,to whom I have given the arid plain for his home and the salt land for his dwelling place?He scorns the tumult of the city; he hears not the shouts of the driver.He ranges the mountains as his pasture, and he searches after every green thing.

I was brutish and ignorant; I was like a beast toward you.

Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?

I said in my heart with regard to the children of man that God is testing them that they may see that they themselves are but beasts.

Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.

And he said to man,‘ Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”

The stupid man cannot know; the fool cannot understand this:

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

He catches the wise in their own craftiness, and the schemes of the wily are brought to a quick end.

“ No doubt you are the people, and wisdom will die with you.But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?

Surely I am too stupid to be a man. I have not the understanding of a man.I have not learned wisdom, nor have I knowledge of the Holy One.Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son’s name? Surely you know!

Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.Put no trust in extortion; set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them.

a wild donkey used to the wilderness, in her heat sniffing the wind! Who can restrain her lust? None who seek her need weary themselves; in her month they will find her.

What is man, that he can be pure? Or he who is born of a woman, that he can be righteous?

Claiming to be wise, they became fools,

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written,“ He catches the wise in their craftiness,”and again,“ The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.”

among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

Does the wild donkey bray when he has grass, or the ox low over his fodder?

Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
