Is it good to you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and smile on the counsel of the wicked?

難道你喜悅壓迫、鄙視你造的人，卻青睞惡人的計謀？

壓迫無辜，又棄絕你手所作的，卻喜悅惡人的計謀，你都以為美嗎？

你施行欺壓，棄絕你手所造的，卻使惡人的計謀顯耀：這於你哪是好呢？

爾手所造、則虐待之、輕視之、惡人之謀、則焜耀之、爾豈以是為善乎、

虐遇斯民、豈爾所悅乎。爾既造人、豈遽棄之乎。惡者之謀為、爾反眷佑之乎。

主手所造、主又虐遇厭棄、反光照光照或作眷祐惡人之謀、豈主所悅乎、

Does it please you to oppress me, to spurn the work of your hands, while you smile on the plans of the wicked?

Does it make you happy when you crush me? Does it please you to turn your back on what you have made? While you do those things, you smile on the plans of sinful people!

Does it seem good to you to oppress, to despise the work of your hands and favor the designs of the wicked?

What do you gain by oppressing me? Why do you reject me, the work of your own hands, while smiling on the schemes of the wicked?

Is it good for you to oppress, to reject the work of your hands, and favor the plans of the wicked?

Is it right for You indeed to oppress, To reject the work of Your hands, And to look favorably on the plan of the wicked?

Does it seem good to You that You should oppress, That You should despise the work of Your hands, And smile on the counsel of the wicked?

Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, That thou shouldest despise the work of thy hands, And shine upon the counsel of the wicked?

Is it good for You to oppress, to reject the work of Your hands, and favor the plans of the wicked?

[ Is it] good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?

Is it good for you to oppress, to despise the work of your hands, while you smile on the schemes of the wicked?

You would call, and I would answer you. You would have a desire for the work of your hands.

But now, Yahweh, you are our Father. We are the clay and you our potter. We all are the work of your hand.

Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me. Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands.

“ Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it.”

Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?

“ It is all the same. Therefore I say he destroys the blameless and the wicked.

“ Behold, God will not cast away a blameless man, neither will he uphold the evildoers.

Who says to a king,‘ Vile!’ or to nobles,‘ Wicked!’?He doesn’t respect the persons of princes, nor respect the rich more than the poor; for they all are the work of his hands.

For Job has said,‘ I am righteous, God has taken away my right:Notwithstanding my right I am considered a liar. My wound is incurable, though I am without disobedience.’What man is like Job, who drinks scorn like water,

He has led me and caused me to walk in darkness, and not in light.Surely he turns his hand against me again and again all day long.He has made my flesh and my skin old. He has broken my bones.He has built against me, and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.He has made me dwell in dark places, as those who have been long dead.He has walled me about, so that I can’t go out. He has made my chain heavy.Yes, when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.He has walled up my ways with cut stone. He has made my paths crooked.He is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in secret places.He has turned away my ways, and pulled me in pieces. He has made me desolate.He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.He has caused the shafts of his quiver to enter into my kidneys.I have become a derision to all my people, and their song all day long.He has filled me with bitterness. He has stuffed me with wormwood.He has also broken my teeth with gravel. He has covered me with ashes.You have removed my soul far away from peace. I forgot prosperity.I said,“ My strength has perished, along with my expectation from Yahweh.”

You are righteous, Yahweh, when I contend with you; yet I would like to reason the cause with you. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are they all at ease who deal very treacherously?You have planted them. Yes, they have taken root. They grow. Yes, they produce fruit. You are near in their mouth, and far from their heart.But you, Yahweh, know me. You see me, and test my heart toward you. Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

Behold, their prosperity is not in their hand. The counsel of the wicked is far from me.

Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator.

“ But you are full of the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you.Don’t let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.

The earth is given into the hand of the wicked. He covers the faces of its judges. If not he, then who is it?

For Yahweh hears the needy, and doesn’t despise his captive people.

He doesn’t withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne, he sets them forever, and they are exalted.If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,then he shows them their work, and their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly.

Yet he filled their houses with good things, but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
