I will say to God, Do not condemn me; let me know why you contend against me.

我籲上帝曰、爾毋以我為惡、即加譴責、亦必示以何故。

籲天主曰、莫以我為惡、主譴責我、求主示我何故、

I say to God: Do not declare me guilty, but tell me what charges you have against me.

I say to God,‘ Don’t find me guilty. Instead, tell me what charges you are bringing against me.

I will say to God,‘ Don’t simply condemn me— tell me the charge you are bringing against me.

I will say to God,“ Do not declare me guilty! Let me know why you prosecute me.

I will say to God,‘ Do not condemn me; Let me know why You contend with me.

I will say to God,‘ Do not condemn me; Show me why You contend with me.

I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; Show me wherefore thou contendest with me.

Enter not into judgment with your servant, for no one living is righteous before you.

I shall be condemned; why then do I labor in vain?

If you will seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy,if you are pure and upright, surely then he will rouse himself for you and restore your rightful habitation.

“ For has anyone said to God,‘ I have borne punishment; I will not offend any more;teach me what I do not see; if I have done iniquity, I will do it no more’?

The crown has fallen from our head; woe to us, for we have sinned!For this our heart has become sick, for these things our eyes have grown dim,

Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord!Let us lift up our hearts and hands to God in heaven:“ We have transgressed and rebelled, and you have not forgiven.

O Lord, rebuke me not in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath.Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.My soul also is greatly troubled. But you, O Lord— how long?Turn, O Lord, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love.

Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord!

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

But you, O God my Lord, deal on my behalf for your name’s sake; because your steadfast love is good, deliver me!

O Lord, rebuke me not in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath!For your arrows have sunk into me, and your hand has come down on me.There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation; there is no health in my bones because of my sin.For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.My wounds stink and fester because of my foolishness,I am utterly bowed down and prostrate; all the day I go about mourning.For my sides are filled with burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.I am feeble and crushed; I groan because of the tumult of my heart.

But if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged.But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.
