I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; Show me wherefore thou contendest with me.

語上帝曰、毋擬我罪、示我何因、與我爭辯、

我籲上帝曰、爾毋以我為惡、即加譴責、亦必示以何故。

籲天主曰、莫以我為惡、主譴責我、求主示我何故、

I say to God: Do not declare me guilty, but tell me what charges you have against me.

I say to God,‘ Don’t find me guilty. Instead, tell me what charges you are bringing against me.

I will say to God, Do not condemn me; let me know why you contend against me.

I will say to God,‘ Don’t simply condemn me— tell me the charge you are bringing against me.

If thou wouldest seek diligently unto God, And make thy supplication to the Almighty;If thou wert pure and upright: Surely now he would awake for thee, And make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.

For hath any said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:That which I see not teach thou me: If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more?

The crown is fallen from our head: Woe unto us! for we have sinned.For this our heart is faint; For these things our eyes are dim;

Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Jehovah.Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.We have transgressed and have rebelled; thou hast not pardoned.

O Jehovah, rebuke me not in thine anger, Neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah; for I am withered away: O Jehovah, heal me; for my bones are troubled.My soul also is sore troubled: And thou, O Jehovah, how long?Return, O Jehovah, deliver my soul: Save me for thy lovingkindness’ sake.

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: According to thy lovingkindness remember thou me, For thy goodness’ sake, O Jehovah.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts;And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.

But deal thou with me, O Jehovah the Lord, for thy name’s sake: Because thy lovingkindness is good, deliver thou me;

O Jehovah, rebuke me not in thy wrath; Neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.For thine arrows stick fast in me, And thy hand presseth me sore.There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine indignation; Neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.For mine iniquities are gone over my head: As a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.My wounds are loathsome and corrupt, Because of my foolishness.I am pained and bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.For my loins are filled with burning; And there is no soundness in my flesh.I am faint and sore bruised: I have groaned by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

But if we discerned ourselves, we should not be judged.But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
