When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking,“ Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.

The time for enjoying good food would end. Then Job would make plans for his children to be made pure and“ clean.” He would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them. He would do it early in the morning. He would think,“ Perhaps my children have sinned. Maybe they have spoken evil things against God in their hearts.” That’s what Job always did for his children when he felt they had sinned.

And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and consecrate them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said,“ It may be that my children have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did continually.

When these celebrations ended— sometimes after several days— Job would purify his children. He would get up early in the morning and offer a burnt offering for each of them. For Job said to himself,“ Perhaps my children have sinned and have cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice.

Whenever a round of banqueting was over, Job would send for his children and purify them, rising early in the morning to offer burnt offerings for all of them. For Job thought,“ Perhaps my children have sinned, having cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice.

For Job said,“ It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.

And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt- offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and renounced God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

挪亚为耶和华筑了一座坛，拿各种洁净的牲畜和各种洁净的飞鸟，献在坛上为燔祭。

现在你们要为自己取七头公牛、七只公羊，到我的仆人约伯那里去，为自己献上燔祭，我的仆人约伯就为你们祈祷。我必悦纳他，不按你们的愚妄处置你们。你们议论我，不如我的仆人约伯说的正确。”

他说：“为平安来的，我来是要向耶和华献祭。你们要使自己分别为圣，来跟我一同献祭。”撒母耳把耶西和他众儿子分别为圣，请他们来一同献祭。

有两个无赖来，坐在拿伯对面。无赖当着百姓作证告他说：“拿伯诅咒上帝和王了！”众人就把他拉到城外，用石头打他，他就死了。

雅各就对他家中的人，以及所有和他一起的人说：“除掉你们中间外邦的神明，要自洁，更换衣服。我们要起来，上伯特利去，在那里我要筑一座坛给上帝，就是在我遭难的日子应允我，在我行走的路上与我同在的上帝。”

又叫两个无赖坐在拿伯对面，作证告他说：‘你诅咒了上帝和王。’然后把他拉出去用石头打死。”

亚伯拉罕清早起来，预备了驴，带着跟他一起的两个仆人和他儿子以撒，劈好了燔祭的柴，就起身往上帝指示他的地方去了。

所以，时候未到，在主来以前什么都不要评断，他要照出暗中的隐情，揭发人的动机。那时，各人要从上帝那里得着称赞。

你要为你这样的恶而悔改，祈求主，或者你心里的意念可得赦免。

或者你的儿女得罪了他，他就把他们交在过犯的掌控中。

要靠着圣灵，随时多方祷告祈求，并要为此警醒不倦，为众圣徒祈求。

凡你手所当做的事，要尽力去做；因为在你所必须去的阴间没有工作，没有谋算，没有知识，也没有智慧。

于是保罗带着那四个人，第二天与他们一同行了洁净礼，进了圣殿，报告洁净期满的日子，等候祭司为他们各人献上祭物。

犹太人的逾越节近了，有许多人从乡下上耶路撒冷去，要在过节前洁净自己。

祭司和利未人就洁净自己，也洁净百姓，以及城门和城墙。

摩西的岳父叶特罗把燔祭和祭物献给上帝。亚伦和以色列的众长老都来了，与摩西的岳父在上帝面前吃饭。

上帝的选民昼夜呼吁他，他岂会延迟不给他们伸冤吗？

耶和华对摩西说：“你往百姓那里去，使他们今天明天分别为圣，又叫他们洗衣服。

他的妻子对他说：“你仍然持守你的纯正吗？你背弃上帝，死了吧！”

“人心比万物都诡诈，坏到极处，谁能识透呢？我—耶和华是鉴察人心，考验人肺腑的，要按各人所行的和他做事的结果报应他。”

“他的供物若以牛为燔祭，要献一头没有残疾的公牛，献在会幕的门口，他就可以在耶和华面前蒙悦纳。他要按手在燔祭牲的头上，为自己赎罪，就蒙悦纳。他要在耶和华面前宰公牛犊；亚伦子孙作祭司的要献上血，把血洒在会幕门口坛的周围。他要剥去燔祭牲的皮，把燔祭牲切成块。

他差派以色列的年轻人去献燔祭，又宰牛献给耶和华为平安祭。

耶路撒冷啊，你当洗去心中的恶，使你可以得救。恶念在你里面要存到几时呢？

有一个以色列妇人的儿子，他父亲是埃及人。有一日他出去，到以色列人中。这以色列妇人的儿子和一个以色列人在营里争吵。以色列妇人的儿子诅咒，亵渎了圣名。有人把他送到摩西那里。他的母亲名叫示罗密，是但支派底伯利的女儿。他们把这人收押在监里，等候耶和华指示的话。耶和华吩咐摩西说：“把那诅咒的人带到营外。凡听见的人都要把手放在他头上，全会众要用石头打死他。你要吩咐以色列人说：凡诅咒上帝的，必要担当自己的罪。亵渎耶和华名的，必被处死；全会众必须用石头打死他。无论是寄居的，是本地人，他亵渎圣名的时候必被处死。

耶和华啊，早晨你必听我的声音；早晨我要向你陈明我的心思，并要警醒。

它一起来，神明都恐惧，因崩溃而惊慌失措。

耶和华见人在地上罪大恶极，终日心里所想的尽都是恶事，

但你若伸手毁他一切所有的，他必当面背弃你。”

他岂以全能者为乐，随时求告上帝呢？

因为从人心里发出种种恶念，如淫乱、偷盗、凶杀、奸淫、贪婪、邪恶、诡诈、淫荡、嫉妒、毁谤、骄傲、狂妄。这一切的恶都是从里面出来，且能玷污人。”

我以上帝嫉妒的爱来爱你们，因为我曾把你们许配给一个丈夫，要把你们如同贞洁的童女献给基督。

以利亚按照雅各子孙支派的数目，取了十二块石头；耶和华的话曾临到雅各，说：“你的名要叫以色列。”
