While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said,“ Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house,

While he was yet speaking, there came another and said,“ Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

While he was still speaking, another messenger arrived with this news:“ Your sons and daughters were feasting in their oldest brother’s home.

有一天，约伯的儿女正在他们长兄的家里吃饭喝酒，

他的儿子按着日子各在自己家里摆设宴席，派人去请他们的三个姊妹来，与他们一同吃喝。

“我使你们在每一座城里牙齿干净，使你们各处的粮食缺乏，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“在收割的前三个月，我不降雨在你们那里，我降雨在这城，不降雨在那城；这块地有雨，那块无雨的地就必枯干。两三城的人挤到一个城去找水喝，却喝不足，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“我以焚风和霉烂攻击你们，你们许多的菜园、葡萄园、无花果树、橄榄树屡屡被剪虫所吃，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“我降瘟疫在你们中间，如在埃及的样子；用刀杀戮你们的年轻人和你们遭掳掠的马匹，营中臭气扑鼻，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“我倾覆你们，如同上帝从前倾覆所多玛、蛾摩拉一样；你们好像从火中抢救出来的一根柴，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。

押沙龙吩咐仆人说：“你们注意，暗嫩开怀畅饮的时候，我对你们说击杀暗嫩，你们就杀他。不要惧怕，这不是我吩咐你们的吗？你们要刚强，作勇士！”

“如今我的哀告还算为悖逆；我虽唉哼，他的手仍然重重责罚我。

义人多有苦难，但耶和华救他脱离这一切，

倘若他的儿女增多，仍被刀所杀；他的子孙必不得饱食。

每逢它挥来，必将你们掳去；每早晨它必挥过，白昼黑夜都是如此。明白这信息的都必惊恐。”

凡临到众人的际遇都一样：义人和恶人，好人，洁净的人和不洁净的人，献祭的和不献祭的，都一样。好人如何，罪人也如何；起誓的如何，怕起誓的也如何。

或者你的儿女得罪了他，他就把他们交在过犯的掌控中。

通报的彼此相遇，送信的彼此相遇，报告巴比伦王，城的四方都被攻下了，

他使我破裂，破裂又破裂，如同勇士向我直闯。

他剥去我的荣光，摘去我头上的冠冕。他在四围攻击我，我就走了；他将我的指望如树拔出。

“惟愿我的烦恼被秤一秤，我一切的灾害放在天平里，现今都比海沙更重，所以我说话急躁。

所有过路的人哪，愿这事不要发生在你们身上。你们要留意观看，有像这样临到我的痛苦没有？耶和华在他发烈怒的日子使我受苦。
