這個人還在說話的時候、又有一人來了；他說：『你兒女正在他們大哥家裏喫飯喝酒；

言時、又一人至曰、爾子女宴於兄室、

言時、又一人至、曰、爾子女宴於長兄家、

While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said,“ Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house,

While he was still speaking, a fourth messenger came. He said,“ Your sons and daughters were at their oldest brother’s house. They were enjoying good food and drinking wine.

While he was yet speaking, there came another and said,“ Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

While he was still speaking, another messenger arrived with this news:“ Your sons and daughters were feasting in their oldest brother’s home.

He was still speaking when another messenger came and reported,“ Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house.

While he was still speaking, another also came and said,“ Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house;

He was still speaking when another messenger came and reported:“ Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house.

While he[ was] yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters[ were] eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house:

While this one was still speaking another messenger arrived and said,“ Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

While he was still speaking, there came also another, and said,“ Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house;

And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.

“ Also I gave you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, And lack of bread in all your places; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the Lord.“ I also withheld rain from you, When there were still three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, And where it did not rain the part withered.So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water, But they were not satisfied; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the Lord.“ I blasted you with blight and mildew. When your gardens increased, Your vineyards, Your fig trees, And your olive trees, The locust devoured them; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the Lord.“ I sent among you a plague after the manner of Egypt; Your young men I killed with a sword, Along with your captive horses; I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the Lord.“ I overthrew some of you, As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand plucked from the burning; Yet you have not returned to Me,” Says the Lord.

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying,“ Watch now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say to you,‘ Strike Amnon!’ then kill him. Do not be afraid. Have I not commanded you? Be courageous and valiant.”

“ Even today my complaint is bitter; My hand is listless because of my groaning.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.

If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword; And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

As often as it goes out it will take you; For morning by morning it will pass over, And by day and by night; It will be a terror just to understand the report.”

All things come alike to all: One event happens to the righteous and the wicked; To the good, the clean, and the unclean; To him who sacrifices and him who does not sacrifice. As is the good, so is the sinner; He who takes an oath as he who fears an oath.

If your sons have sinned against Him, He has cast them away for their transgression.

One runner will run to meet another, And one messenger to meet another, To show the king of Babylon that his city is taken on all sides;

He breaks me with wound upon wound; He runs at me like a warrior.

He has stripped me of my glory, And taken the crown from my head.He breaks me down on every side, And I am gone; My hope He has uprooted like a tree.

“ Oh, that my grief were fully weighed, And my calamity laid with it on the scales!For then it would be heavier than the sand of the sea— Therefore my words have been rash.

“ Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Behold and see If there is any sorrow like my sorrow, Which has been brought on me, Which the Lord has inflicted In the day of His fierce anger.
