While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said,“ Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house,

While he was still speaking, a fourth messenger came. He said,“ Your sons and daughters were at their oldest brother’s house. They were enjoying good food and drinking wine.

While he was yet speaking, there came another and said,“ Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,

While he was still speaking, another messenger arrived with this news:“ Your sons and daughters were feasting in their oldest brother’s home.

He was still speaking when another messenger came and reported,“ Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house.

有一天，约伯的儿女正在长兄家吃喝，

约伯的儿子们经常轮流在自己家里设宴，派人邀请他们的三个姊妹来一起吃喝。

“我在各城降下饥荒，使你们遍地缺粮。尽管如此，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。“我在收割前三个月停止降雨。我在一座城降雨，在另一座城不降雨；我使一块田有雨水的滋润，另一块田因无雨而干裂。两三座城的人都踉踉跄跄地涌到一座城找水喝，水却不够喝。尽管如此，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。“我用热风和霉灾击打你们，叫蝗虫吞噬你们田园中的菜蔬、葡萄树、无花果树和橄榄树。尽管如此，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。“我在你们中间降下瘟疫，如从前降在埃及一样。我杀戮你们的青年，掳掠你们的战马，使你们军营中的死尸臭味扑鼻。尽管如此，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。“我在你们中间施行毁灭，如从前毁灭所多玛和蛾摩拉一样，使你们像从火里抽出的一根柴。尽管如此，你们仍不归向我。这是耶和华说的。

押沙龙吩咐仆人说：“你们要留意，当暗嫩喝得正高兴的时候，我叫你们杀他，你们就要动手。不要畏缩，要刚强勇敢！因为这是我的命令。”

“我的哀诉至今充满苦楚，祂的责罚使我呻吟不止。

义人也会遭遇许多患难，但耶和华必拯救他，

他的儿女再多也难逃杀戮，他的子孙永远吃不饱。

灾难必不分昼夜、日复一日地扫过，每次扫过都必将你们掳去。”明白这信息的人都必惊恐万分。

义人和恶人、好人和坏人、洁净的和污秽的、献祭的和不献祭的、行善的和犯罪的、敢于起誓的和不敢起誓的人，最终的命运都一样。

如果你的儿女得罪了祂，祂会给他们应有的惩罚。

报信的人接踵而来，向巴比伦王禀告，‘整座城已失守，

祂一次次地击伤我，像勇士一样扑向我。

祂剥去我的荣耀，摘走我头上的冠冕。祂从四面攻击我，直到我消逝；祂把我的希望像树一样连根拔除。

“要是能称量我的苦难，把我的灾殃放在秤上，那将比海沙还重；所以我言语鲁莽。

“路人啊，你们都无动于衷吗？你们看看，耶和华向我发烈怒，降祸于我，还有谁比我更痛苦呢？
