爾豈未嘗藩衛其身與其家及凡所有、使其所為無不亨通、使其群畜蕃衍於地、

“ Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.

And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:“ Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.“ Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.“ Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.“ Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

For I,’ says the Lord,‘ will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’”

The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.

For thus says the Lord of hosts:“ He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.

If I have rejoiced because my wealth was great, And because my hand had gained much;

He also blesses them, and they multiply greatly; And He does not let their cattle decrease.

And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.

Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.
