於是若輩復召夙盲之人、而語之曰：『汝其以天主光榮為懷！吾人明知彼乃罪人。』

Again the Pharisees called the man who had been blind to come to them.“ Give glory to God by telling the truth!” they said.“ We know that the man who healed you is a sinner.”

So for the second time they called the man who had been blind and said to him,“ Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

So for the second time they called in the man who had been blind and told him,“ God should get the glory for this, because we know this man Jesus is a sinner.”

Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.

Then they summoned the man who used to be blind a second time and said to him,“ Promise before God to tell the truth. We know that this man is a sinner.”

So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him,“ Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and honor him. Tell me what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

Some of the Pharisees said,“ This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.” But others asked,“ How can a sinner perform such signs?” So they were divided.

They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God.

For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh,

“ If he were not a criminal,” they replied,“ we would not have handed him over to you.”

that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word:“ Your own people who hate you, and exclude you because of my name, have said,‘ Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy!’ Yet they will be put to shame.

As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted,“ Crucify! Crucify!” But Pilate answered,“ You take him and crucify him. As for me, I find no basis for a charge against him.”

“ Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High,and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

“ I am not possessed by a demon,” said Jesus,“ but I honor my Father and you dishonor me.

I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me,

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself,“ If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is— that she is a sinner.”

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered,“ This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

They crucified two rebels with him, one on his right and one on his left.

Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me?

All the people saw this and began to mutter,“ He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”

Make models of the tumors and of the rats that are destroying the country, and give glory to Israel’s god. Perhaps he will lift his hand from you and your gods and your land.Why do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh did? When Israel’s god dealt harshly with them, did they not send the Israelites out so they could go on their way?“ Now then, get a new cart ready, with two cows that have calved and have never been yoked. Hitch the cows to the cart, but take their calves away and pen them up.Take the ark of the Lord and put it on the cart, and in a chest beside it put the gold objects you are sending back to him as a guilt offering. Send it on its way,but keep watching it. If it goes up to its own territory, toward Beth Shemesh, then the Lord has brought this great disaster on us. But if it does not, then we will know that it was not his hand that struck us but that it happened to us by chance.”
