Jesus’ disciples asked him,“ Rabbi, who sinned? Was this man born blind because he sinned? Or did his parents sin?”

门徒问耶稣：“老师，这个人生下来便双目失明，是因为他犯了罪呢，还是他父母犯了罪呢？”

他的门徒问他：“拉比，这人生下来就瞎眼，是谁犯了罪？是他呢，还是他的父母呢？”

他的门徒问他，说：“拉比，这个人生来就瞎眼，是谁犯了罪？是这个人，还是他的父母呢？”

門徒問耶穌說：「拉比，這人生來是瞎眼的，是誰犯了罪？是這人呢？是他父母呢？」

門徒問耶穌：「老師，這個人生下來便雙目失明，是因為他犯了罪呢，還是他父母犯了罪呢？」

他的門徒問他：“拉比，這人生下來就瞎眼，是誰犯了罪？是他呢，還是他的父母呢？”

門徒就問耶穌說：『老師，是誰犯了罪、使這人生來就瞎眼呢？是這人呢？還是他父母呢？』

他的門徒問他，說：「拉比，這個人生來就瞎眼，是誰犯了罪？是這個人，還是他的父母呢？」

門徒問曰、夫子、斯人生而瞽、誰獲罪歟、斯人乎、抑其父母乎、

門徒問曰、夫子、此人生而瞽、是誰之過歟、由己乎、由父母乎、

門徒問曰、拉比、其人生而瞽、是誰之罪、斯人之罪乎、抑其父母之罪乎、

門徒問曰、『夫子、此人生而盲果誰之咎？其本身乎？抑父母乎？』

His disciples asked him,“ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

And his disciples asked him,“ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

“ Rabbi,” his disciples asked him,“ why was this man born blind? Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”

His disciples asked him,“ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

And His disciples asked Him,“ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?”

And His disciples asked Him, saying,“ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind?

His disciples questioned Him:“ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

His disciples asked him,“ Rabbi, who committed the sin that caused him to be born blind, this man or his parents?”

His disciples asked him,“ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

Jesus said,“ These people from Galilee suffered greatly. Do you think they were worse sinners than all the other Galileans?

Then the Pharisees replied,“ When you were born, you were already deep in sin. How dare you talk like that to us!” And they threw him out of the synagogue.

The people of the island saw the snake hanging from his hand. They said to one another,“ This man must be a murderer. He escaped from the sea. But the female god Justice won’t let him live.”

Do not bow down to them or worship them. I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God. I cause the sins of the parents to affect their children. I will cause the sins of those who hate me to affect even their grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

They replied,“ Some say John the Baptist. Others say Elijah. Still others say Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”

They love to be greeted with respect in the markets. They love it when people call them‘ Rabbi.’
