They asked them,“ Is this your son, the one you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”

问他们：“这是你们所说那生下来就瞎眼的儿子吗？现在他怎么又能看见呢？”

问他们：“这是你们的儿子吗？你们说他生来是瞎眼的，现在怎么能看见呢？”

問他們說：「這是你們的兒子嗎？你們說他生來是瞎眼的，如今怎麼能看見了呢？」

問他們說：「這是你們的兒子嗎？你們說他生來是失明的，現在怎麼看見了呢？」

問他們說：「這是你們的兒子嗎？你們說他生來是失明的，現在怎麼看見了呢？」

問他們：「這是你們的兒子嗎？你們不是說他生來就瞎眼嗎？怎麼現在能看見了？」

問他們：“這是你們所說那生下來就瞎眼的兒子嗎？現在他怎麼又能看見呢？”

問他們說：『這是不是你們的兒子、你們所說生來就瞎眼的呢？那麼、他現在怎能看見呢？』

問他們：「這是你們的兒子嗎？你們說他生來是瞎眼的，現在怎麼能看見呢？」

問曰、此爾子、爾言生而瞽者乎、今何以得見耶、

爾言有子、生而瞽者、非此人乎、今如何得明、

問曰、此乃爾子、即爾所言生而瞽者乎、今如何能見、

乃召其父母而問曰：『此是爾子、即爾所謂胎瞽者乎？然則今何以能見？』

They asked the parents,“ Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? Then how does he now see?”

and asked them,“ Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”

His neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar said,“ Isn’t this the one who used to sit begging?”Some said,“ He’s the one.” Others were saying,“ No, but he looks like him.” He kept saying,“ I’m the one.”

and they recognized that he was the one who used to sit and beg at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. So they were filled with awe and astonishment at what had happened to him.

And since they saw the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say in opposition.
