They still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man’s parents.

To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”For this cause they couldn’t believe, for Isaiah said again,“ He has blinded their eyes and he hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them.”

Lot went out, and spoke to his sons- in- law, who were pledged to marry his daughters, and said,“ Get up! Get out of this place, for Yahweh will destroy the city!” But he seemed to his sons- in- law to be joking.

His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.

while it is said,“ Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”For who, when they heard, rebelled? Wasn’t it all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient?We see that they weren’t able to enter in because of unbelief.

Yahweh, your hand is lifted up, yet they don’t see; but they will see your zeal for the people, and be disappointed. Yes, fire will consume your adversaries.

“ He said to him,‘ If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”

How can you believe, who receive glory from one another, and you don’t seek the glory that comes from the only God?

This is John’s testimony, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him,“ Who are you?”

Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

Who has believed our message? To whom has Yahweh’s arm been revealed?
