They still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man’s parents.

They still did not believe that the man had been blind and now could see. So they sent for his parents.

The Jews did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of the man who had received his sight

The Jewish leaders still refused to believe the man had been blind and could now see, so they called in his parents.

The Jews did not believe this about him— that he was blind and received sight— until they summoned the parents of the one who had received his sight.

他雖然在他們面前行了許多神蹟，他們還是不信他。這是要應驗以賽亞先知所說的話：「主啊，我們所傳的有誰信呢？主的膀臂向誰顯露呢？」他們所以不能信，因為以賽亞又說：「主使他們瞎了眼，使他們硬了心，免得他們眼睛看見，他們心裏明白，回轉過來，我會醫治他們。」

羅得出去，告訴娶了他女兒的女婿們說：「起來，離開這地方，因為耶和華要毀滅這城。」他的女婿們卻以為他說的是笑話。

他父母說這些話，是怕猶太人，因為猶太人已經商定，若有宣認耶穌是基督的，要把他趕出會堂。

經上說：「今日，你們若聽他的話，就不可硬着心，像在背叛之時。」聽見他而又背叛他的是誰呢？豈不是跟着摩西從埃及出來的眾人嗎？上帝向誰發怒四十年之久呢？豈不是那些犯罪而陳屍在曠野的人嗎？他向誰起誓，不容他們進入他的安息呢？豈不是向那些不信從的人嗎？這樣看來，他們不能進入安息是因為不信的緣故了。

耶和華啊，你的手高舉，他們不觀看；願他們觀看你為百姓發的熱心而羞愧，願火吞滅你的敵人。

亞伯拉罕對他說：『如果他們不聽從摩西和先知的話，就是有人從死人中復活，他們也不會信服的。』」

你們互相受榮耀，卻不尋求從獨一上帝來的榮耀，怎能信我呢？

這是約翰的見證：猶太人從耶路撒冷差祭司和利未人到約翰那裏去問他：「你是誰？」

所以，我們務必竭力進入那安息，免得有人學了不順從而跌倒了。

我們所傳的有誰信呢？耶和華的膀臂向誰顯露呢？
