They still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man’s parents.

They still did not believe that the man had been blind and now could see. So they sent for his parents.

The Jews did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of the man who had received his sight

The Jewish leaders still refused to believe the man had been blind and could now see, so they called in his parents.

他虽然在他们面前行了许多神迹，他们还是不信他。这是要应验先知以赛亚的话，说：“主啊，我们所传的有谁信呢？主的膀臂向谁显露呢？”他们所以不能信，因为以赛亚又说：“主叫他们瞎了眼，硬了心，免得他们眼睛看见，心里明白，回转过来，我就医治他们。”

罗得就出去，告诉娶了他女儿的女婿们说：“你们起来离开这地方，因为耶和华要毁灭这城。”他女婿们却以为他说的是戏言。

他父母说这话，是怕犹太人；因为犹太人已经商议定了，若有认耶稣是基督的，要把他赶出会堂。

经上说：“你们今日若听他的话，就不可硬着心，像惹他发怒的日子一样。”那时，听见他话惹他发怒的是谁呢？岂不是跟着摩西从埃及出来的众人吗？神四十年之久，又厌烦谁呢？岂不是那些犯罪、尸首倒在旷野的人吗？又向谁起誓，不容他们进入他的安息呢？岂不是向那些不信从的人吗？这样看来，他们不能进入安息是因为不信的缘故了。

耶和华啊，你的手高举，他们仍然不看；却要看你为百姓发的热心，因而抱愧，并且有火烧灭你的敌人。

亚伯拉罕说：‘若不听从摩西和先知的话，就是有一个从死里复活的，他们也是不听劝。’”

你们互相受荣耀，却不求从独一之神来的荣耀，怎能信我呢？

约翰所作的见证记在下面：犹太人从耶路撒冷差祭司和利未人到约翰那里，问他说：“你是谁？”

所以，我们务必竭力进入那安息，免得有人学那不信从的样子跌倒了。

我们所传的有谁信呢？耶和华的膀臂向谁显露呢？
