They still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man’s parents.

耶稣虽然在他们面前行了这么多神迹，他们仍然不信他。这是为要应验先知以赛亚所说的话：“主啊，我们所传的，有谁相信了？主的膀臂，向谁显示了？”他们之所以不能相信，是因为以赛亚又说过：“神使他们瞎了眼，硬了心，免得他们眼睛看见，心里明白，回转过来，我就使他们痊愈。”

罗得就出去，告诉将要娶他女儿的女婿们，说：“起来！离开这地方，因为耶和华就要毁灭这城了！”但在他们的眼中，他像是在开玩笑。

他的父母说这些话，是因为怕那些犹太人。原来那些犹太人已经说好，如果有人承认耶稣是基督，就要把他赶出会堂。

经上说：“今天，你们如果听见他的声音，就不可硬着你们的心，如同在那悖逆的时候。”到底是谁听见却悖逆了呢？难道不是被摩西从埃及带领出来的那一切人吗？神又向谁发怒了四十年之久呢？难道不是那些犯了罪、尸首倒在旷野的人吗？他又向谁起誓说，他们绝不能进入他的安息呢？难道不是向那些不肯信从的人吗？这样我们就看出来：他们不能进入，是因不信的缘故。

耶和华啊，你的手高举，他们却不看！愿他们看到你对子民的热心就蒙羞；愿你为敌人所预备的烈火吞噬他们！

“可是亚伯拉罕对他说：‘如果他们不听从摩西和先知们，就算有人从死人中复活，他们也不会被说服的。’

你们彼此接受荣耀，却不寻求从独一的神而来的荣耀，那怎么能信呢？

以下是约翰的见证。那时候，耶路撒冷的那些犹太人派了一些祭司和利未人到约翰那里去问他：“你是谁？”

所以，我们要努力进入那安息，免得有人照着那同样不信从的样式跌落了。

我们所传的，有谁相信了？耶和华的膀臂向谁显现了？
