維時民眾紛集、擁擠不堪、致相蹂踐、耶穌開言、先訓其徒曰：『毋染法利塞之酵、虛偽是也。蓋隱者莫不顯、微者莫不彰、爾雖言於暗中、必將聞於光天。耳語密室、乃必揚於屋巔。

爾罪參在上。吾暫守緘默。遂謂吾無見。與爾為同德。詎知時已屆。將降爾顯罰。罪孽彰在目。何由逭爾責。

耶穌乃起立而問之曰：『女子、若輩奚在？竟無人判汝耶？』

耶穌又謂眾曰：『予乃世之光、從予者不行黑暗中、必具生命之光。』

耶穌聲名洋溢、希祿聞人言具此異能、必施洗如望復活矣。或曰：『伊理靄也。』或曰：『先知、猶古先知之一耳。』希祿聞之、則曰：『是必吾所斬之如望復活矣。』

拂曉、復入聖殿、眾就之、乃坐而訓焉。
