“ If I glorify myself,” Jesus answered,“ my glory is nothing. My Father— about whom you say,‘ He is our God’— he is the one who glorifies me.

耶稣回答：“如果我荣耀自己，我的荣耀就算不得什么。荣耀我的是我的父，就是你们说‘他是我们的神’的那一位。

耶穌回答說：「我若榮耀自己，我的榮耀就算不得甚麼；榮耀我的乃是我的父，就是你們所說是你們的神。

耶穌說：「如果我為自己爭取榮耀，那榮耀算不了什麼。但使我得榮耀的是我的父，你們也稱祂為你們的上帝。

耶穌曰、我若自榮、我榮則無矣、榮我者乃我父、即爾所言爾之上帝也、

耶穌曰、我若自榮、則不得為榮、榮我者父、即爾所稱爾之上帝、

耶穌曰、若我自榮、我榮則虛、榮我者乃我父、即爾所言為爾天主者、

耶穌曰：『予若自榮、亦何榮之有？榮予者吾父也！吾父非他、即爾自言為爾天主者是。

Jesus replied,“ If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.

Jesus replied,“ If I bring glory to myself, my glory means nothing. You claim that my Father is your God. He is the one who brings glory to me.

Jesus answered,“ If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say,‘ He is our God.’

Jesus answered,“ If I want glory for myself, it doesn’t count. But it is my Father who will glorify me. You say,‘ He is our God,’

Jesus answered,“ If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say,‘ He is our God’;

Jesus answered,“ If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God.

Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father that glorifieth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God;

“ If I glorify Myself,” Jesus answered,“ My glory is nothing. My Father— you say about Him,‘ He is our God’— He is the One who glorifies Me.

Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

Jesus replied,“ If I glorify myself, my glory is worthless. The one who glorifies me is my Father, about whom you people say,‘ He is our God.’

Jesus answered,“ If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.

I do not seek my own glory; there is one who seeks it and judges.

It is not good to eat too much honey or to seek glory after glory.

For it is not the one commending himself who is approved, but the one the Lord commends.

For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying“ This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased!”

Jesus spoke these things, looked up to heaven, and said,“ Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so that the Son may glorify you,

He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.Everything the Father has is mine. This is why I told you that he takes from what is mine and will declare it to you.

For this reason God highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name,so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow— in heaven and on earth and under the earth—and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

When he had left, Jesus said,“ Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in him.If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself and will glorify him at once.

The Father, in fact, judges no one but has given all judgment to the Son,so that all people may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.“ Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.“ Truly I tell you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.For just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted to the Son to have life in himself.And he has granted him the right to pass judgment, because he is the Son of Man.Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the graves will hear his voiceand come out— those who have done good things, to the resurrection of life, but those who have done wicked things, to the resurrection of condemnation.

“ If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true.There is another who testifies about me, and I know that the testimony he gives about me is true.

I continued watching in the night visions, and suddenly one like a son of man was coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was escorted before him.He was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, so that those of every people, nation, and language should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied before Pilate, though he had decided to release him.

This is the declaration of the LORD to my Lord:“ Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.”The LORD will extend your mighty scepter from Zion. Rule over your surrounding enemies.Your people will volunteer on your day of battle. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, the dew of your youth belongs to you.The LORD has sworn an oath and will not take it back:“ You are a priest forever according to the pattern of Melchizedek.”

Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

Now, Father, glorify me in your presence with that glory I had with you before the world existed.

“ I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”I will declare the LORD’s decree. He said to me,“ You are my Son; today I have become your Father.Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance and the ends of the earth your possession.You will break them with an iron scepter; you will shatter them like pottery.”So now, kings, be wise; receive instruction, you judges of the earth.Serve the LORD with reverential awe and rejoice with trembling.Pay homage to the Son or he will be angry and you will perish in your rebellion, for his anger may ignite at any moment. All who take refuge in him are happy.

The one who speaks on his own seeks his own glory; but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

No one takes this honor on himself; instead, a person is called by God, just as Aaron was.In the same way, Christ did not exalt himself to become a high priest, but God who said to him, You are my Son; today I have become your Father,

“ Listen to this, house of Jacob— those who are called by the name Israel and have descended from Judah, who swear by the name of the LORD and declare the God of Israel, but not in truth or righteousness.For they are named after the holy city, and lean on the God of Israel; his name is the LORD of Armies.

Now if you call yourself a Jew, and rely on the law, and boast in God,and know his will, and approve the things that are superior, being instructed from the law,and if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light to those in darkness,an instructor of the ignorant, a teacher of the immature, having the embodiment of knowledge and truth in the law—you then, who teach another, don’t you teach yourself? You who preach,“ You must not steal”— do you steal?You who say,“ You must not commit adultery”— do you commit adultery? You who detest idols, do you rob temples?You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?For, as it is written: The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.Circumcision benefits you if you observe the law, but if you are a lawbreaker, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.So if an uncircumcised man keeps the law’s requirements, will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision?A man who is physically uncircumcised, but who keeps the law, will judge you who are a lawbreaker in spite of having the letter of the law and circumcision.For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, and true circumcision is not something visible in the flesh.On the contrary, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart— by the Spirit, not the letter. That person’s praise is not from people but from God.

He said this about the Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit, for the Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you. These things have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven— angels long to catch a glimpse of these things.

“ I do not accept glory from people,

You’re doing what your father does.”“ We weren’t born of sexual immorality,” they said.“ We have one Father— God.”

He exercised this power in Christ by raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens—far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given, not only in this age but also in the one to come.And he subjected everything under his feet and appointed him as head over everything for the church,which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.

You who tremble at his word, hear the word of the LORD:“ Your brothers who hate and exclude you for my name’s sake have said,‘ Let the LORD be glorified so that we can see your joy!’ But they will be put to shame.”

Then the LORD said: Name him Lo-ammi, for you are not my people, and I will not be your God.

Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee. He revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.
