But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name,who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a man, but of God.

It is written in the Prophets:‘ And they shall all be taught of God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God; He has seen the Father.

I know that you are Abraham’s descendants; yet you are seeking to kill Me, because My word has no place in you.

But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep.My sheep listen to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

“ I have revealed Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have followed Your word.Now they have come to know that everything which You have given Me is from You;for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.

And He was saying,“ For this reason I have told you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.”

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and now it is already in the world.You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.They are from the world, therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them.We are from God. The one who knows God listens to us; the one who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot listen to My word.

But because I say the truth, you do not believe Me.

By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother and sister.
