Now the slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever.

Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever.

A slave has no lasting place in the family. But a son belongs to the family forever.

The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever.

A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever.

A slave does not remain in the household forever, but a son does remain forever.

And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.

And the bondservant abideth not in the house for ever: the son abideth for ever.

Therefore she said to Abraham,“ Drive out this slave woman and her son, for the son of this slave woman shall not be an heir with my son Isaac!”

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out,“ Abba! Father!”The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons and daughters.Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out,“ Abba! Father!”Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

But what does the Scripture say?“ Drive out the slave woman and her son, For the son of the slave woman shall not be an heir with the son of the free woman.”So then, brothers and sisters, we are not children of a slave woman, but of the free woman.

And he said to him,‘ Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours.

But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it shall be his until the year of release; then it shall return to the prince. His inheritance shall be only his sons’; it shall belong to them.

For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

They* said to Him,“ He will bring those wretches to a wretched end and lease the vineyard to other vine growers, who will pay him the fruit in the proper seasons.”Jesus* said to them,“ Did you never read in the Scriptures,‘ A stone which the builders rejected, This has become the chief cornerstone; This came about from the Lord, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruit.

Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later;but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house— whose house we are, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the boast of our hope.

After a little while, the world no longer is going to see Me, but you are going to see Me; because I live, you also will live.On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I in you.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters;and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.
